The boys were so excited and proud! They were jumping up and down and screaming!! haha!

It was a beautiful transclucent green for a while and then slowly dried and turned a light brown...

What a fun experience!

The boys found this cicada struggling to shed! Their first instinct was to help it out but after we explained to them that it needed to do it by itself (to get strong) they very loyally guarded it all day.
They were very sweet keeping the dogs away and keeping an eye on it for a few hours...
